Stuff-A-Truck — January/February 2020
During the months of January and February, LifePlan held its first ever “Stuff-a-Truck” campaign. In this campaign, churches and individuals were encouraged to bring donations of new or gently used baby items to help “Stuff-a-Truck” and fill the LifePlan boutiques for 2020.
The truck was donated by G.L. Wasco & Sons out of Bridgman, MI, and was driven to seven different locations throughout January and February. Locations were both LifePlan Centers, Gospel City Church (Granger), Immanuel Lutheran Church (Bridgman), Pleasant View Church of Christ (Cassopolis), Buchanan Church of the Nazarene, and all First Church of God (St. Joseph) campuses.
Enough donations were collected to take 140 people completely through the Life Matters Program!
The Stuff-a-Truck event allowed a wide variety of people to become involved with the ministry of LifePlan and heped to increase awareness for the ministry and the services provided.
Donations were unloaded at LifePlan Niles and it took 12 different people over a period of 5 hours to unload and sort the supplies. Supplies will be distributed to clients at both locations throughout the year.
Stuff-a-Truck By the Numbers:
7 Locations
105 Tubs of Donations
22 New/Used Furniture Items
Thank you to everyone who helped make Stuff-a-Truck a success! We are beginning to plan ahead for Stuff-a-Truck 2021. If you would like your church to be involved with next year’s Stuff-a-Truck event, please contact us!
